Hot Folders

A Hot Folder is a special folder that automatically assigns Quick Set options to a job. Each Quick Set you create has a corresponding Hot Folder that is automatically created. When RIP-Queue is running, your Hot Folders are constantly monitored for image files. When an image is placed in a Hot Folder, the image is immediately moved from the Hot Folder to RIP-Queue where the appropriate Quick Set settings are applied, the image is processed, and then printed.

Hot Folders are located in the "Input folder" of your program files. Because RIP-Queue automatically shares the Input folder, you can copy image files into a Hot Folder from any network system (Windows, Mac, Linux, and so forth).

NOTE: The "Info Folder" is not a Hot Folder. It is a special RIP-Queue folder that contains the printer configuration settings.

See Opening an Image for more information on using Hot Folders.
